Well we made it home. Our day started at 3:30 am when Elise decided to wake up and stay awake until 5. We went back to sleep and I got up with her when she woke up at 8 because I could sleep in the car and Ryan needed to drive. The snow was so bad though that I was scared to let Ryan sleep past nine thirty. We got on the road at 10:30. I've never seen so much WHITE! Once we got past Scipio there were tons of cars spun out and stuck on the side of the road it was crazy! Then we dead stopped right after Cedar City because a oil tanker jack knifed and rolled up. AHH! But then we made it to St. George, an hour longer than it usually takes. We were sure that Sunday traffic would be over since it took us so long to get down to St. George. We were SO wrong. The traffic was bad all the way from Primm to Barstow. Sigh. Elise did much better than I thought she would. After 13 and half hours we finally arrived home and had to face a broken heater. I think these pictures of Elise this morning say it all.

what life is like at home
She's usually all smiles! Makes it fun to be home and not at work. I love to have someone run up to you and give you a hug laughing or cuddling in your lap while we watch sesame street.
She loves dressing up and walking around; sometimes both at the same time.
She is so little and yet she thinks she can do what I do and wear my shoes.
Usually all smiles, good thing she's an only kid so I can just give her whatever she wants so this face will go away.
Her new favorite game is pulling out every shoe and standing in the bucket.
Don't even ask how many times a day i pick up these shoes....

All Girl
So I'm not a very girly girl. I don't talk on the phone very often because we get crappy (sometimes no) reception in our apartment. One day Elise was holding the wii remote up to her ear and talking. I started talking back to her like we were on the phone. She hasn't stopped since. It doesn't matter what it is and she doesn't even always have to have it anywhere by her ear. It's usually down on her neck. And from looking at this movie it looks like she's got speaker phone figured out. That's usually the way we have to talk on the phone because Elise cries until she's holding the phone.
Also, she got one necklace from the 4th that she wouldn't stop wearing so for her birthday I got her a set of three necklaces. She loves getting all "dolled" up. She puts on her necklaces and her sunglasses, she combs her hair, she puts her little toys in her purse and carries it around.
None of this did I teach her to do. I don't even wear necklaces that often. She picked it all up herself. She likes what she likes I guess. I hope I survive the teenage years with her. I don't know a whole lot about makeup and hair...
