Happy Day

My teeny tiny 9 year old sister who loved basketball and short hair turned 21 this weekend. It's just crazy the way time zooms by. We had a lot of fun. We went up to Park City and had some fun at the Homestead's 125th anniversary party.  They had hot air ballooning and blow up slides. We went to a fantastic BBQ restaurant. Saw some amazing art. And got to give her some root brewskies that she shared with us. We love you Aunt Mandi!
Can you see her terrified face? That slide was stinkin steep.

But she was always happy when she got to the bottom.

For anyone who think Elise is happy all the time, this picture proves she has her moments.

That was a lot if stairs for me to climb, Elise did it all by herself.

My loving Dad

Poor Ryan didn't get to go on the hot air balloon and got stuck with the crying Elise because mommy left. He forgot about the pack of M&M's I gave him to fix the tears until we were in our way down. We don't have to use candy, I just thought she deserved a treat since she didn't get to go.

You know what? Elise is a really good girl at restaurants. I think that if she weren't I'd be a few pounds lighter.

State Fair

We went the same day as the BYU game, thus the blue.

We had lots of fun seeing the animals. She was spell bound. She also could make a bunch of the sounds that the animals made.

They had a sea lion show which was a lot of fun, Elise wasn't much of a fan, she had fun jumping around on the grass.

They had a little tots section with lots of fun stuff for kids.

This may have been her favorite thing at the fair.

apparently 7 ate 8

This is a clip of Elise counting. She is so funny, she repeats the numbers we say when she doens't know which one comes next but for some reason she is very sure that nine comes after seven.

Random Fun

Here are a couple random fun pictures we've gotten the last few weeks. My goodness she grows up quickly...

the out of control bang situation is getting on my nerves for her sake.

Elise's room even more put together

I posted about how I was working on a lot of sewing projects and I didn't have a chance to include pics of Elise's curtains. Well I had my in laws over for dinner tonight so I decided to get Elise's room even more put together than it was previously in photos on here. (I took them after scripture reading so I could get them up here tonight so Ryan and Elise are in them too)

I added more lady bugs around the room because almost every time I get her up from bed she points all excited "Bugs! Stickers, no no" That's how I knew I could trust her with more wall pin ups and how I know she loves them.

Curtains! I love them, but they are definitely home made kid curtains.

Thanks Jan and Rusty (Shanda's parents) for thedesk and bookcase.
