Wow, the ultrasound was so cool. They saw the hemispheres of the brain as well as the four chambers of the heart. I had no idea it could get so detailed and we could see so much. I kept thinking it would be like on FRIENDS when Rachel goes to the doctor with Ross and pretends she can tell where the baby is. And then he points it out to her and she still can't tell.
The Technician was pretty sure it was a girl and I had a little moment like Rachel like "how can you tell?". I just keep thinking about those stories about it being a girl and then comes out a boy. Apparently that's more common than being told it's a boy and having it be a girl when the baby comes.
Luckily, I like the decorations for the babies room that are brown and green. That should work well for either a boy or girl. I'm excited for either gender. A boy would be so much fun after growing up in house of girls. But a girl would be awesome because she'll have cousins on either side to play with.
I'm plenty happy either way! And lighsabers come in blue and purple!
I'm all ready to welcome a new member to THE GIRLS ROCK CLUB!

Summer Movies
I thought this was hysterical about the new star trek movie coming out.
Trekkies Bash New Star Trek Film As 'Fun, Watchable'
I haven't seen it yet but their dissatisfaction intrigues me. We'll definitely at least rent this movie.
Wolverine was a surprise for me. It was good and different then other X Men movies but there were inconsistencies in the plot line that had Ryan and I going Huh?
Angels and Demons was marvelous. It isn't the book it's even better! They left out the weird romance that developed in the book and they left out the nudity and some of the goriness that made me uncomfortable while reading the book.
TRANSFORMERS! Need I say more? Excited!
Ryan wants to rent the one Terminator movie that is rated PG-13 that is coming out this summer.
We want to see UP! It looks clever.
We'll be seeing Harry Potter 6 because 5 redeemed the series after we saw 4.
What movies are you excited about this summer?

2nd Honeymoon
For our anniversary, Ryan's graduation, and my birthday we went down to Las Vegas for a couple days. While we were there we saw "The Phantom" and took in the sights. Things have changed in three years. The Wynn hotel is pretty dang swanky. They have a really cool waterfall up front with a poor little duckling living in the water intake. From our hotel room we could see the Mirage volcano explode. IT WAS SO COOL! They have flames now that make designs in the water that look really cool from the top. "The Phantom" at the Venetian. It was so much fun to be in that theater specifically designed to house this opera. The chandelier was really cool, well all the special effects were really cool.
People often think we are crazy for going to Vegas, especially when we don't gamble. This time I think I am crazy for going to Vegas because the smells were driving my pregnant nose crazy. The cure? We stopped in Sephora and went to their perfume aisle and found one I liked and sprayed my wrist till it was all I could smell. It was perfect for those smelly casinos. I just put my hand up and all was good.

Baby or Alien?

Yay! Hopefully this baby will be strong enough to withstand the many flu medications I was taking when I found out I was pregnant, the major car crash I had while pregnant and the fact that I have miscarried before so that it can be born healthy and strong. It looks like an alien right now, hopefully it will grow out of that because its heartbeat sounded human and I'm told they all look that way at first....
