We are in the midst of another huge heat spell. Yesterday it 113 degrees here! Apparenlty we enjoyed more than our fair share of good weather. It's ok we like playing inside. We have to get a little creative.

This is the glow necklace from the fourth of July. She loves this thing. She's always putting it on (by herself by the way, she's getting so big). I guess I should get her some play jewelry. And maybe a purse too. She's getting really curious with her diaper bag and she's having fun put lots of toys in her bucket and then dumping them out over her head.
Ah and here is Elise with her two favorite toys. Mom's cell phone and remote control. Sorry but the phone keeps her quiet and I try to watch her but sometimes she makes calls that get past me. So sorry about the prank calls you might get. It's Elise's fault.

I tried giving Kathryn one of my old cell phones, but she always knew it wasn't the real thing and wouldn't play with it until now since she's starting to pretend and have pretend conversations. But she did always like this Tinkerbell cell phone I got in the Walmart checkout aisle since it has fun buttons that make noise and talk back to you. But there's just something about kids that know fake remotes and phones and just won't have anything but the real thing.
She is getting so BIG!!! I can't wait to see you guys. I found out yesterday that I was able to get time off for her birthday, so I will see you later this month. I can't believe she will be one this month!! CRAZY!!
